I have now joined the ranks of circulated proof owners. Went to cash my paycheck the other day and they gave me a 1978 S Half. Immediatly upon seeing it I knew it was a proof, but it has definatly seen better days.
Nice find. I've only found one too, which also equals the number of times that I've got a hole in one. A couple of years ago I got a 1999S Delaware quarter at Lake Placid. I guess the rich people that go there only use proof coins to buy stuff.
i found an Idaho quarter in a brinks clear roll. shiny as can be:kewl: i would say it was closer to BU
it sure is. its a clad proof quarter. i found it in a roll about 3 or 4 months after the mints sets were released
Great find; have fun with it. In general, I despise impaired proofs. To me, they represent a numismatic crime.
My one and only proof circulation find was also a 1999 Delaware in Kalamazoo,mi about three weeks ago
