I believe you shot yourself in the foot a while back and will be lucky to get any experts to comments.
Going off of variety vista for what? 1982-D DDO-001 and 1977-D DDO-001? Is this what you mean? These pictures attached in the thread won't be helpful to us, it's too zoomed out, but if you have a scope, zoom in on the areas on your coin, make it the exact areas of the pictures on variety vista, and each should EXACTLY match. each match is a confirmation, each, "close" or "maybe" isn't going to be good enough. remember "doubled die" means literally the die was doubled everything it strikes looks the same. as far as the 1982 it has to be zinc, not copper, so a simple weight can rule it out or keep it in the possibility category. On the 1982 D, the most conclusive would be the earlobe picture on variety vista and then the die chip on column #10 picture as added confirmation, if the die chip was there at that point of striking when the coin was made. As far as "extra thickness" I can't tell extra from normal and never could. LOL On the 1977 D, probably the Y in liberty is the most conclusive and identifying point on the coin. good luck.
