1885-o vam?

    Hi, Vam 28 as you noticed is under the 8 rather than under the one. I also looked in the RPD book by Flynn and there is nothing similar to yours. It doesn't seem Quite the same angle as the 1, I wonder if it is a piece of the die that deteriorated from the denticle area, and just coincidentally had a similar shape.

    I agree with Jim, it doesn't look like VAM 28. My guess is it's a die chip, that just happens to look slightly like the top of the 1.
