NGC Now Grading Details!

    These grades are used for environmentally damaged, cleaned, surface alterations, mechanical damage, mechanical repairs, and mint irregularities. (see brochure)

    So, it sounds like NGC has taken over the grading of problem coins from NCS in an effort to compete with PCGS and their genuine slabs.
