I am not asking that you promote what you have listed i was just thinking if I was going to bid on something it might as well be from the people who help me out. (If I an afford it.) Thanks and I hope this post doesn't get pulled because i don't think I broke any rule, and if I did I apologize in advance. Kent
Here here. bnbcoins. I won't advertise but I will tell you, I know very little about coins but that's valuable i think because i don't let my ego dictate the price
Kent: You can look here: http://www.cointalk.com/f8/ for members auction listings. Or post a request in the wanted section. here: Just note: WTD (wanted) http://www.cointalk.com/f9/ Ask folks to PM you. Okay, I'll open this up: What do you collect? That'll give folks an idea.
If averaging one item every 20-30 months for about 10 years qualifies, I guess I'm an ebay seller. Of course that's everything, not just coins.
Im new to coin collecting and when I have browsed on E-bay I notice such a large gap in prices, some seated dimes are being sold for like a dollar and they seem in good shape. Is this because they are fake it just doesn't make sense.
Post some links to the auctions and let some of the experts take a look at them. At this point I am not sure I recommend buying off ebay for someone new to collecting - okay if slabbed by the big 3 or 4, but not raw. Most of the coins are problem coins to start with - so just be careful. And if in doubt you can always post and ask around here.
I list items sporadically nowadays. A few each month. I used to list 15-25 items a week. eBay's policies regarding sellers has gotten so onerous that it's almost more throuble than it's worth. I even created a new seller's ID just so some jerk buyer can't mess my 100% rating on my old seller's ID. So far, so good.
Selling on eBay is more trouble than it worth. that why next month I am closing up my shop. as kanga said the buyer can do anything to you and get away with it! that not I would call fair trade!
No manufacturers list prices on coins so anyone can put any price on any coin. If someone buys it for an absord price, then they bought it for that and that is that. Many times someone just wants to get rid of some coins and will take whatever in prices. And that too is just what someone will pay.
