Hello Error coin people, I recently posted these two photos of my Lighthouse coin boxes at CT Coin Chat. The boxes were of interest in Coin Chat but I think there may be interest in the error coins here. Depicted are some copper colored quarters. Click to zoom-in. These are examples of Bicentennial, Statehood, etc with missing clad layers, struck on cent, struck on foreign, etc. This photo simply depicts how the Lighthouse boxes can stack vertically like ½” wide 3-ring binders. I’ll try to take close-up photos of these & other copper colored quarters tonight. Please post photos of your odd-colored quarters & thanks for letting me share. Very best regards collect89
Thanks. I was bidding on this quarter "struck on a copper core" last night. http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.asp?auction=2747&lot=2775 It would have been a nice addition but the price went ballistic.
Here are some quick pics of my other copper-colored quarters. These are all missing clad layers. The 1976 is raw and not quite as nice as the one in the first photo.
This is my last missing clad layer quarter to post. Here is a 1979 quarter with similar 1979 half & dime. Post em if you got em.
Kansas 25C The other side looks normal this reverse has odd green toning colors. I have also found another with this strange one sided toning. I think you can click on the picture to enlarge.
