Wow man thanks a lot. Being a newer member, I was not sure that people actually give away coins for free when i saw this thread. But I PM'd Bill and he said he could help me. i sent my Info and the coins arrived today. Cool crowd you guys have here. Bill even refused money for the postage, What a cool guy. Let me show you some pics of the nice Wheaties he sent me. 11 more holes filled whoopie!!! here is the lot of them Ill continue the rest of the photos in the next post.
Here are some more cents photos, needed two posts to cover all the cool coins that Bill sent to me. Thanks so much, your a good man Bill.
Bill (YorkieDad): You are THE BEST!!! We got your package, and I brought it up to my 15-year-old son's (Spencer) room and gave him the package. He said, "For me? Who is it from?" He read the return address, "Who's that?" I just stayed silent. He picked up the package and said, as a smile started increasing on his face, "It sounds like coins" in almost a whisper. He tore open the package and he found 13 OLD wheat cents. He looked at them and exclaimed, "Look at the dates!" He then got his old Cent Whitman folder out and filled 13 holes. THANKS again, Bill. Spencer was thrilled!
let spencer know that it was my pleasure to help him out. the smile is what i was after when I sent them. I have helped out a few others here with older coins and they are thrilled also. I am sure glad that I had the chance to help young people out with there collections--------(for me?)---(who is it from?)----(WHO'S THAT)!!!!!!!!!!!--- that is to funny--- let him know he has a new friend ,, thanks--BILl
My main coin collecting is pennies. I have a few books started, i like error pennies. I look for them all the time. Most of my finds are machine doubling. My oldest I just got the other day is an 1859 indian head, but that is not an error. Those are my favorite, but dont have alot of em right now. I do have a few (KEY DATE) pennies, but they are really very hard to get a hold of. How about you? what do you collect--BILL
A single 1941 cent I found in circulation got me started all those years ago -- I never recalled seeing a coin so old, and I was hooked. All the best to anyone getting into this hobby, especially the young ones who get a thrill out of something like an old wheat cent or buffalo nickel. Coin collecting can provide a lifetime of enjoyment and pleasure!
