Traci, Love the Mexican coinage and all the others as well, expecially the Iran gold. I will PM you about Concord. On a separate note, this thread brought out some great looking coins!! Very nice collections ppl have on this forum. One thing I like about most world coins is that you don't have to pay alot of money to have a great looking collection. Look around, randygeki, regandon, collect89 even the nose pick guy has some great looking coins. You go nose man!! :D

I thought your attribution of the Kaei Era isshu-gin was mis-spelled, but I guess what I thought was a "z" is an "e".

Collect89 - The item in the lower left corner of your first group picture is probably a token from the Magic Castle chain of kiddie restaurants/arcades.

I bought a non-US coin, which has been unusual for me. I have been looking into world coins lately. There's so many other beautiful pieces out there than just old US coinage! Thanks to those who have posted pictures, I've really enjoyed looking through this thread.

Anyhow, I picked up a cheap 1935 Mexican 50 Centavos piece. I love the toning on it! :)

    Hello Hontonai,

Today I am traveling to the exotic mecca of Midwest USA known as Terre Haute Indiana. I will check the Castle coin when I return home in a few days. I had to look at my original photo to see what you were referring. Yes it looks like a Magic Castle token :) ! I believe that I have it attibuted as a German States coin in my collection.

I have not yet gotten hooked on collecting coins from all the German states. This coin might have been from Baden or Hamburg or the Magic Castle.

    Very best regards,
    collect89

You have it correctly attributed as a German state coin , I was considering buying a MS62 example 4 hours ago but had a change of heart ... bought a straight settlement 1903 dollar instead. Although it may look like the arcade tokens , it is indeed a German state piece.
