Are they actually going to do circulation strikes for these as well? I thought it was just going to be silver commemoratives. I'm confuzzled.

Dear lord, will be ever see a major change in coinage again, or will we be forced to look at the same tired designs over and over with a circulating theme on the back of them in perpetuity. Sorry, after the lack luster designs of the last decade I don't know if I can stand another decade of lackluster designs.

Maybe two more decades. In year #8 the Secretary of the Treasury has the option to decide to go around all the states again.

And yes these are going to be regular circulation quarters, just like the state quarters were. Business strike issues, proof issues, satin finish issues, silver proof issues, and one more twist, 3 inch 5 oz 999 fine silver versions of each one. (So far thankfully there doesn't seem to be any indication that the Goliath pieces will be struck in both Unc and proof, but I wouldn't hold my breath.)

Change-change-change its inevitable:smile, from 1932-1998 we have looked at the same U S quarter design , the wonderful eagle on the reverse , now at least we have a change, something new to look at & from 1999-2008 with the new reverse state quarter designs( most collected coins in history) the U S Gov. has made a profit of $4.6 billion , don't you think that is impressive & has got us out of the same old design we had for 66 yrs. , that was a "tired design". Personally I'am looking forward to the new National Park Quarters , its a change :loud: not the same design we had for 66 yrs geeeeeeezzzzzzzzz:cool: its cooooool:smile

IMO, the state quarters are dead after they said it was going to be until 2008 and all of a sudden they got bigger and more came out after the last year.

Not even Album makers were ready after 2008...LOL That's crazy..

The only thing in life we can be certain about is change!!!! God bless the 56 national parks, that can go along with the 50 state quarters, and the presidential dollars, and their wives, and lest us not forget the westward ho!!! nickels. The only thing missing is the change to the Kennedies, cause we no that even lincoln is not above change!!!!!!:desk::headbang::desk:
