I have to take the link down. I just forgot that I could get in trouble for posting a live ebay link.

    I bought it for $1265.

Now going for $1,375 on ebay with 1 day left..

I hate to be a debbie downer... but if you accept paypal and pay your EBay fees (ends up being about 12% for both) you would net $1,188 on that deal. If no paypal you net $1,242 if it closed now... but it's not.

Of course, those high juicy fees just kicked in..

    Still a day left.

Ebay fee's? I've been buying off of ebay for about a year, but never had to pay ebay fee's.....Does this go into action after the auction hits a certain amount?

Well, it cost me over $80 alone to set this page up with the purple background in the listing, have it outlined, sub title, set a reserve, etc.

Now apparently there are more feeds I don't know about according to the poster above.. SO yeah, let's see how this ends.

    This world is not easy.

I removed the identifiable auction info and the allusion to profanity. Please refrain from both in the future,

    Thanks,

Congrats on getting into the green BNB (acutally closer to breakeven right now after selling fees/paypal fees/shipping expenses).

However, I just wonder how much higher it would go if you had larger, clear photos or even professional images of the coin.

I understand that coin photography is difficult, but for me I think it is impossible to tell from your pics whether the coin is accurately graded or whether or not it's even an 1909-S VDB in that holder. I have seen coins in the wrong holders or with incorrect labels before, but never an S VDB though.

Anyways, good luck and hope the bidders go crazy on this one for you :goofer:

I explained the selling fees to you in your CC Morgan thread a couple weeks ago!

IMO, you overpaid for the listing fee. You must have selected to have it show cased at the top which I believe runs about $50. Maybe it was worth it for this one because there's usually a lot of S-VDBs at any given time? I don't know. But for most stuff, putting the listing in bold for an extra 1.00 fee is more than most sellers will do and plenty of people will see it. Good pics is about all that matters.

Here is a breakdown of my fees:

EDITED - each of those had your item number in them...please NO self-promotion.

What you don't see in your list of fees yet are the final value fees and the paypal fees (since that is how almost everyone pays)

Assuming a $1350 closing price, your final value fees are $41.56 and your PayPal fees are $39.45. Those eBay & PayPal fees pretty much wipe out any "profit" you may have to this point, keep your fingers crossed for higher bidders and good luck!

Plus it's going to cost you a few bucks to ship and if you pay to insure the coin (which I would that's not cheap either).

I included that last part. Let's see how this whole thing ends.

Spoke with ebay. I WILL be making profit on this coin regardless of what some of the naysayers will say ;)

I'll give you final profit amount towards the end. Won't be much, but will be something over $50

BNB, I tried to contact you on AIM, would love to chat with you sometime.

I think you really need to read alot more before you purchase any more coins, honestly man.

Although I've heard that investing in coins is not the most sound investment (compared to other areas of investing, its not recommended) there are several good books you can read which will give you an edge. Here's a really good one by Scott Tavers..he writes some good stuff. I suggest you read it!

Well, I will definitely add that to MY list of reading material. Maybe my library will have one I can check out.

OK look, our rules on this are pretty plain. And yet you have been edited twice for the same thing in 1 thread BNB. You are not even supposed to talk about your ebay auctions until they are CLOSED !

Now, if you do it again - and I am posting this publicly so that everybody understands it - the entire thread will be deleted and you will be issued infractions. As it is, this thread is closed.
