1793 Liverpool Washington Half Penny

Heya everyone!

Just thought I'd share a recent acquisition of mine, that I've been waiting so long for! The 1793 Washington Halfpenny!

I couldn't get the lighting on this quite right, especially since there's a minor glare, but in person it's much more darker/natural looking.

The edge reads, "PAYABLE IN ANGLESEY LONDON OR LIVERPOOL".

 

In case peeps don't know it, the dies clashed (visible on the reverse of your example) and the reverse die eventually collapsed, which yours is a late die state so that isn't heavy wear on the reverse. I think your example would grade VF or possibly better.
