I don't think there is anything wrong with the SLAB. But I think there is a serious mechanical error on the front label.

Are all of those scratches, gouges and scuffs on the coin or on the plastic?

    I suspect both.

    You're getting colder though.... :)

I tried to look up the serial and make sure the sticker was authentic...but the NGC verification page doesn't seem to be working for me.

The mention of proof on the grade?

It should have read PL. (Proof Like)

Actually, what I was getting at is the coin is not a proof, IMO. If the right label is MS or PL, I can't really say from the photos, but that's neither here nor there. That coin is no proof, or my name isn't Mike, er, Leadfoot, er, Mike. :D ...Mike

p.s. that's completely setting aside the ridiculous price being asked for this misidentified coin.

Apparently the eBay seller agreed. The listing has been pulled. :)

The slab looks fine, though the grading label contains inaccurate information, as in the method of manufacture.;)

I have been in contact with a gentleman who is determined to get this coin off the market, put him in touch with someone at NGC and sent a rather stern message to the Ebay seller to encourage him to do the right thing.

That's what I said, a serious mechanical error. They put PF instead of MS. They call it a mechanical error so they don't have to cover it under the grading guarantee.
