Well I see we have a thread on if you had 10 Million what set would you buy but I don't think there is much of a chance any of us are going to get 10 million....so here is another question...

What coin would you like to buy if it came up for sale today... :D
The only thing is that you have to be able to pay for this coin at one time...and it must be a coin that you could buy...if you only buy coins that are $10 and under...then let your pick be something for $10 and under...if you are able to buy a 10 million dollar coin...well then...what would it be??

My pick would be a 1955 PF66 NGC Franklin....
A late date (1900-1909) Proof IHC
    and I better quit there....
I would like to put 1794 Half dollare because I got to see and hold one but I wouldn't be able to buy that at one time :D

I would buy an MS-60 Pre-1900 (Preferably 1890) Morgan Dollar and an F-12 1853 Half Cent (Braided Hair) and 1845 VF-20 Lg. Cent.

And then im broke again! :p

If money was not a factor I would have a 1936 proof set, probably all proof sets I could get from the 1930's and 40's.

If only one coin $10.00 and under it would have to be a 1964 Kennedy proof or a MS65 Kennedy.

It doesn't have to be $10-or under I just want it to be near what you buy coins normally...I mean if the most I spend on coins is $50 then I would put coins that are around $50...the problem with me is that sometimes I buy a coin for $1 and sometimes over $10 and so on...so more than anything I wanted real ideas on what people would want and could pay it off at one time...

If I could spare the money right now, I'd get an AU-MS quality 1856 Flying Eagle Cent. Barring that, I'd love to get a 1909-S VDB in at least Fine quality.

    1995 W Silver American Eagle

The problem with this thread is the amount you would normally spend. Since I am willing to spend a couple hundred on a coin I will eventually get all the PCGS graded american eagles in the collection I just started. I could afford a 1995 W Silver American Eagle, but am too cheap to pay the price. This is my dream coin. This seemed a better pick for this thread than the 1994 or 1995 that I currently need, but will eventually get in the 3/4 months. I have wanted one of these coins for years. :)

Do what I did...and get a lower namebrand slab...PCI or ANACS...they sell for less and if you ever need to sell cross it over to NGC or PCGS...

    Hey Steve
I have seen a hand full of 3 legged and 3 1/2 legged and they are real neat...they are also real $$...the ones I have seen were in good shape...they were circulated but good shape...they ran about $700+/- on most!

That one is also at the top of my list right now. I need that and three others to complete my Barber dime set.

I'd probably love to have a flowing hair dollar, but would probably settle for a draped bust dollar from 1799 or earlier; or maybe any US coin minted before 1800. It would be facinating to own a US silver dollar minted before 1800. I don't own anything that old and close to the origin of the Republic.
