Once you learn more about the minting process, you won't give coins like this a second thought. You'll just spend them!
I came across a quarter about a year or so back that looked precisely like your dime here. I'm thinking more like it was in some type of high pressure press or something that made it look like that. Seems to be crushed with amazing amount of pressure with perhaps some type of fluid on it's surface to give it the pock mark effects. Where the fluid is, it left pock marks. Where there was no fluid, the coin material was crushed in a bit. Attached images just for reference purposes to be used to compare to your dime. Looks to be the same type of damage that is present on your dime.
I’m thinking: 1. I won’t guess. You have to create better titles for your posts and tell us what you posted for. We have no idea what something else it could be. 2. Blurry, out of focus pictures do not cut the mustard. Maybe you need a new camera or eyeglasses. 3. I am surprised you posted this dime. You have been a member for just shy of 20 months and should be able to recognize PMD by now.... @Bmagold ...jmho...Spark
