Thanks for the info on the WAMs. Not a very exciting day today.

The good:
Although I found only seven rolls of halves to search, I did find one 40%

The bad:
I searched an entire box of pennies with my daughter. I found only 2 Canadians, one British, one dime, and two (2) that's right just two wheats - a '56d, and a crummy scratched up '45.

The ugly:
Without many half rolls to search, I thought I would enjoy an afternoon of college football. I only have network TV and all I can find is poker, golf, and tennis in a rain delay!
I guess now Michigan/Notre Dame is on, but that one doesn't excite me much!

Guess I'll have to try and con the wife into picking me up some coin next week while I'm at work. It's hard to convince her to do that. She agrees, but mysteriously never comes home with any coin

 

Picked up a quarter bag and a dime bag
Found a proof New Jersey and a 1964 quarter

I bought 8 rolls of halves yesterday. The first roll that I opened had 2 - 66s, 5 - 67s, 9 - 68s, and 1 - 69 in it. It was hard to not think that I had just gotten someone's mini-hoard .... But, roll #2 sorta killed that idea, with only 1 - 64 in it. Rolls #3 - #8, well I guess I'll spend them $.50 at a time.

 

Went through a box of halves today.......

Stopped in the bank to turn in all my searched halves but there machine was out of order. So I asked the teller if she had any halves? She held up four. I took em and sandwhiched in between two copper clads were a 54 and 63 Franklin!!! SwEEEEEEEEEEEEEt!!!!!!!

 

I am still looking for wide AM or close Am of any date. A CT member sold me a real nice 98 WAM the only one I have ever seen, (I don't get out much LOL). I search 2 to 4 boxes of cents a week and have yet to find a close AM 92 or 92D or any of the WAM 98,98 or 00. No double dies 83, 84 or 95, but I did find a 1896 Indian Head cent that was least VG so I keep searching and keep pulling tha Canadians out of circulation.

Wow, Gixxxer, 17 40%ers out of 20 in a roll, that must have made your jaw drop when you opened that roll. Awesome finds (and the 64 too)!

Almost forgot my favorite teller gave me a rail splitter in my change

Got my first 1987 half! and a 2002-P - 2006-D

Yes, it did make my jaw drop. I'm just glad that I was sitting at a red light, instead of driving....
