I've been working on my Dansco Type album as of late and wanted to get a few good dimes for it. The only problem is that my Dansco doesn't have slots for all of the varieties of the seated series. But that not withstanding I want to get all the varieties anyway, so I picked up this 1877 CC and this 1840 no drapery, also a nice little 1943 merc rounded out the purchase for today.

Is that the true color on the 1840? Really strange looking!

First and third are nice - my kind a coins, but whats up(as already asked) with the color on the second coin? Almost looks like copper. I notice the background on the first two is dark blue and then second it is light blue - was it the lighting?

yeah, I moved the light to the side because I couldn't get a good picture from overhead. The coin is a light gray like the first one.

Nice going with the SL dimes.
It doesn't matter what face value you select, collecting an SL set is a very ambitious project.
    I wish you continued success.

Nice coins all. I like the 1840 ND best.

Notice the slightly different style of Lady Liberty in 1840 v.s a later date like the 1877. More elegant, more classic I think.
