are these worth keeping?? I come across these in roll searching often, probably broken out of proof cents for the money
They're definitely worth keeping; worth a minimum of 2-4 times face value if they're "average." The problem is they're likely impaired in some manner if you're pulling them from circulated rolls -- you know, being jostled about in counting machines, etc. But, if they look okay, I still say they're worth setting aside for the 50 cents they cost you. Even if you decide you don't want them later, you can always roll them up and spend them yourself, letting another collector find a treat.
If they are not perfect, and I doubt they are finding them in circulated rolls. I wouldn't bother keeping them..
I think they are worth keeping for sure. Worst case, I'm sure someone here would want them for more than face. Throw them in the open forum and someone will jump on them rather than put them back in circulation.
i would agree also !! i have a couple circulation finds in my Dansco album- they look just a good as being pulled from a proof set i bet some collectors like myself would like them for face+ instead of dropping them back into circulation.
There is a jeweler near me that will give 7 times face value for any 64 and older coin. For G4 and G8 grades in walkers is that an alright deal?
I have a lot of walkers in grades from F12 to AU50. Depending on the year, a price of about $4 would be ok. The price of silver has gone up recently and it may now be more like $5.
