2009 Lincoln LP2 2x Cracks 1 Cud on Reverse

    I have found MANY of these in a "P" Box.. Some of the "Broken Mallet" are so full as to be a Heavy Cud and some the "Mallet" is just cracked.. I could Almost watch the cracks grow as I went through the Box.. 3 Cracks on One side!! Cool!
    Oh Ya... The crack at the 5 o'clock is light in this picture too.. it goes to the log in the others cents i have..

    Hi and welcome!

    I see evidence of die cracks. I don't see a CUD.

    A CUD is where a die actually breaks away in a way that the rim area and edge is involved. That leaves a raised blob of metal on a struck coin, where the die no longer exists. This is a CUD.

    Is the cud your posting at the end of log in the center of the ring?if so it is just a die crack.
