Dude, chill out. Half of the problem is you won't let it go either. I'm not trying to be rude, but getting angry and making a big deal out of it is just fueling the fire and increasing the problem. Everyone has different opinions and there is nothing wrong with that.
This thread started out as a request for opinions and advice. When this is asked for, this is what is rec'd. If someone buys these because they like them and think they are affordable, then go for it. Personally I wouldn't pay $80.00 for a complete year set, let alone one. Does mean another person shouldn't? Does it mean after me giving my unfavorable opinion another person who did like them now shouldn't? If you have been around this forum for any length of time one should have read many times that coins normally are not good as an investment. Whether a coin will increase a great amount in value is a "crap shoot" at best. In my opinion this is definitely something that will not see any increase in value, and are way overpriced. Does that mean after me stating my opinion I expect someone who thinks the opposite to change their mind? If you already bought them at these prices, are happy with the purchase, then great. It is certainly okay to state why one bought them and future expectations. But, since this originated as a thread for advice and opinions don't get upset for people having a different opinion. Not one person here knows for sure the future of these.
What the latest people have said... Interesting thread though. One man's treasure..... The OP did ask whether it was a "good" price, so therefore it is normal for people to talk about resale value - although I am truly getting sick and tired of how a lot of people are focussed on how much something is "worth". But that's what the OP asked for. Now Weasle94 - you seem to have taken the baton from the OP - you need to expect comments about future value because that's what the OP appears to be asking. If the OP isn't interested in future value, then his/her question is a stupid one.
Acually .the OP originally asked if anyone knew anything about it . But I will stop beating this dead dog and say goodbye
These Presidential Oath Dollars are minted and Produced at each mint. After the coin is struck it goes through another process at each mint. That process is the encasement of each coin in a polished aluminum Ring which has part of the Presidential Oath engraved on it! Each President's is Limited to 1000 coins per year. With 4 Presidential coins minted each year. The total for the these coins for 4 mints equals 16,000. If you pass these up your passing on a coin that will be worth at least $1000 as the years pass by. I think in 20 years they will meet this plateau. this is the sleeper you are waiting for. They were graded at each mint by ANACS. They are graded MS 64 to MS 66.

Try e-bay search there are a few on there at a very LOW price of $18.95. You Must be signed up for both E-bay and PayPal.
You are making the BIGGEST mistake about a limited Addition to the collecting world. This is in "My Humble Opinion.
I see a few for $19.95 and most are priced $29.95 http://www.collectorsalliance.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=Presidential+Oath+Dollars&Submit=
Only half right! The dollars are in fact minted at the US Mints. That is correct! The "encasement" is done privately well after the coins have left the mint! As such, only ANACS will slab them as they are technically damaged. These coins do have a certain appeal to them as I have many examples of my own but to consider them, as a product of the US Mint, is just as wrong as stating that Daniel Carrs 1964 Peace Dollar "a product of the US Mint"!
Judging from the above statement, it has become intuitively obvious that you have no idea what you are saying and are more than likely repeating some line of bull that you were fed in order to get you to buy these! Good luck!
If I had the money, I'd order with what I need. The way I figure it, is since the US Mint stopped producing the Presidential Dollars thereby making First Day of Issue a VERY expensive proposition, collecting these by this "Oath" thing just adds a level of interest for me. Mind you, I'm not saying that these will be worth a doodly squat in the future, I just kinda like them like I like these:
Oregon68, why did you resurrect a five year old thread? Are you buried in some of these things and you're trying to whip up a market for them?
