Hello everyone. My grandson recently found a 1748 pillar dollar sticking out from under a fire hydrant. Since I am not a collector, I have no idea if the coin is fake or genuine, its condition rating, or its worth. If anyone could help me, I would be very grateful.
It looks as though you have a cast replica coin or AKA a fake coin. It was probably put under the hydrant to level it out or somthing See if a magnet sticks to it, if not it may be silver and worth a few dollars in melt value but otherwise just a cool paperweight...
