Here is the best I can do in the interim; if you want to see a hi res pic, go to photobucket and search for dgrennan96. Thats my album with the only two pictures that I can get to at the moment. A little bit of a jog, but it is all I can muster at this point.

I found your pictures on photobucket and I will post them using my account so the forum can see them. Here they are:

When you do this search you have to search for "people." The default search is for images and will yield nothing.

As for the grade, I am inclined to say this coin has a touch of wear and I would call it a high AU. The toning also looks interesting to me, I'd imagine the coin was treated in some way...possibly dipped in the past and has retoned.

OK, now that I can see the thing - that was once a very clean coin. At one point, easily a 65 I'd say. Too bad the toning has progressed so far that it has wiped out the luster and eye appeal. I'd call it a 63 now.

Thanks to both CamaroDMD and GDJMSP for the offer to help out. I still can't quite figure it out, but I am working off a wireless connection without the originals and so things are slow.

When I originally compared this with my other coins, i thought it might look close to MS62; the majority of the wear I can see is on the reverse with the breast feathers. Under a 10x loupe, the detail gets lost a little compared to a cleaner grade. But the primary fields on both sides look pretty clear.

Anyway, it is the best surprise that I have found over the course of three years; in addition, I needed this coin in my basic Morgan set (hence the 96 designation; no 7/8 tail feather or overmint marks). It is already in an airtite, waiting for more friends as I find them. I would say too bad about the toning, although since it is a family piece, I enjoy the color that much more.

Thanks again to all that assisted, and I will attempt to figure out the photo upload before I share future coins.

    I'd call it a 61/62

Nice job on the demo. Camero.
I like the coin, it looks 63 to me.
