With the Marine commemerative coins on their way to sell out, in the next week or two, what do people think they will do with the set? will they say it sold out and then it will be very limited if they do that as only 43,000 have been sold? Or are they keeping some to continue the american legacy collection.

i think they already earmarked all of the marine/marshal commems needed for the legacy set.

so technically the marine commems could sell out for purchase seperatly but still be available in the legacy set.

How do you know 43,000 have been sold?

Sales numbers for all mint products are reported in the numismatic press on a weekly basis.

Below is the last sentence of the first paragraph on the Legacy set on the Mint's web site:

"This new, exclusive collection has a strict limit of up to 100,000 sets."

The key part of that phrase is "up to" which, of course, means that there may not be 100,000 sets sold. So, they could stop selling the Legacy Set at any time if they reach the limit on the Marines Commem.
