I don't think 95% copper is on the menu for rolls...just for mint and proof sets.

Was the 4 piece proof set on the menu a month ago. I just saw the proof 5 piece lincoln set
    with dollar and 4 cents.

4 piece proof set popped up quite unexpectadly.....little or no notice, which is what the mint will do from time to time.:)

the key may be those satin finish copper ones.

I quite agree. We're getting a little late in the year for these. Hope they "pop" on the scene soon. :smile

what is the deal with the spots? It is very common with these coins.
Is it the way they are minting them.
I bought my set .I had to have at least one considering it was a new cent series.

:desk:Okay the 2009 Uncirculated P&D SETS will have the cents on burnished planchettes unlike the mint CLAD and SILVER proof set cents. That's the only difference. All the cents in all sets will be composed of 95% copper, 3% zinc, 2% tin. Business struck cents will be the exact same composition as that used in late 1986 to 2009. There are no 99.2% copper cents being minted now or never was for Lincoln Memorials!

OKAY! There never were any Lincoln Memorial cents composed of 99.2% copper, ever.
The mint sets, proof sets, chronicle set whatever that is, and the uncirculated P&D sets all have cents of 95% COPPER, 3% ZINC, AND 2% TIN.
Regular circulation business cents have the same composition as the late 1986 thru 2009 cents. Period. THIS HORSE IS DEAD!! UNTIL i'M CORRECTED:whistle:

Forgive me old friend. Mint set, Unc. set? Aren't we talkin' the same thing?

Mint set meaning the clad proof set. Also the silver proof mint set. Sorry for not spelling it all out. Didn't want to get bumped for taking too long. You know you are correct. The mint makes all the sets.

Zeke, please don't take this the wrong way. A mint set is a "mint set" and a proof set is a "proof set".

No, no I'm okay with you. Sometimes when a mint set is not the mint silver proof set, I just call the set, like the mint ( clad ) proof set, a mint set. Here I am a VIRGO and I'm forgetting to be detailish which my wife can't stand. When I talk with her about something I tend to kill the subject. I hope you get my drift. I do know the differences, really. Thanks
