Okay, well, I was able to get a one time complimentary give back on that ugly ms 65 Morgan 1885cc.

With that said, I ended up winning the auction of the one I did fall in love with.

I won it at $800 with the 15% BP so it totaled $920. Not bad for a 1885 cc morgan MS65 PCGS and BEAUTIFUL Luster.

Take a look(Must have a Heritage account to view I believe)

That 1885 CC Morgan is very lusterous. I like it. The lincoln I am not familiar with, but it does have a real nice color to it. Nice coins.

    Thank you so much, Mark.

This is one coin that I love regardless if somebody doesn't like it's because of a few little nicks here and there.

For $920, I think I did very well.

Thanks Mark Feld for turning me onto Heritage! I will never go back to ebay again for my buying purposes. Selling is a different story :)

You're welcome. Now, so as not to disappoint your expectation that I play the Grinch, here is how you didn't win a coin "the right way"....

You (presumably) bought it sight-unseen or without having a qualified person view it in-person on your behalf. Generally speaking, that is NOT the "right" way to buy coins. Sure, you might get lucky and defy the odds occasionally, but that way of buying is not conducive to getting a lot of coin for your money.

Thank you Mark aka as you say, Mr G. I do have a high amount of respect for you , I want you to know that ok Mark? Like, a VERY high amount; although sometimes your posts are viewed by me as disapointing at times, you still know your **** in my opinion and if I were to ever spend $30,000 on a coin, it would be through you.

Well, I hear that a lot but the only way I'm happy with it is if I paid a good price and it looks good :)

It is more than I would pay for a Morgan, but I am not a Morgan fan anyway, but that is one very very nice blast white piece, just the way I like them - the way they were the day they were minted.:smile

    Agreed.

To "a qualified person", I might add "a qualified person who knows you and your preferences".

I like that coin too, it is 1000% percent better than the earlier one.

It also may have a die crack on the obverse in the bottom left stars which is interesting.

But aren't you living in CA? Heritage definitely charges CA tax so don't you need to add around $90 of sales tax and shipping to that number to get your real cost on the coin?

Unless of course you are purchasing more than $1500 of coins at a time (which is then exempt from CA tax) or having the coins shipped to an address in a more tax friendly state.

Like Oregon...land of no sales tax (we can't pump our own gas either).
