    kanga 65 Year Collector

This coin completed my set of MS-67 War Nickels.
It's the key to the set if you don't count the varieties.
    And my 43/2 isn't MS-67. It's MS-65.

These two coins are for my birthyear set.
I decided to add the proofs.

I like the Walker -- looks like a nice 65 from the photo. I have a "No AW" 41 proof as well and as far as I can tell there isn't much price difference between it and an "AW" 41 Proof (I don't think PCGS even slabs them differently).

In any event, thanks for the post and photos. Enjoy 'em.

One source I've read said the "No AW" and "AW" 1941 proof halves are split about 50-50.
Another said there are more "No AW" than "AW" 1941 proof halves by about 2 to 1.

Great coins. I didn't know some of the 1941 proof walker's were struck without the designer's initials.

This will require a bit more looking, but I think the 1941 proof half WITH the designer's initials is a lot more unusual than prices would indicate.
I've found a reasonable number of these proofs, but have yet to find one WITH the "AW".
    A sleeper?

Beautiful additions. I really have to get my war nickel set started. I was thinking about doing it RAW in a capital plastics holder but it's darn hard to find nice raw examples without cracking them from slabs.

Very nice coins! I have my Dad's War Nickel set in its old Capitol Plastics holder and really treasure it. I'd still like to have a high grade set like yours, though.
