Self-promotion is self promotion - I know of no notice in the rule area that says that as long as there is a disclamer, it is fine to break the rules.

Having not seen the post or known why it was edited, would someone explain so that I do not do the same?:hammer:

 

It is pretty clear in the rules that you can not self-promote yourself on the forum - this includes offering items for buy/sell/trade, and also posting links to your current ebay items.

Had the OP waited until after the auction was ended, I don't think there would have been any problem....

While this post says you are beginner (and I am not disputing that) the fact you knew and corrected the grammer errors at least says you payed attention in English class so you will probably be a fast study in the hobby of coin collecting. If you read my post on here you know I slept through most of my English classes and can't spell very well either. I guess I could use spell check more. LOL OBTW that is a nice coin good luck. Kent

 

I only have 2 comments:

1. It's not a good idea to sell a high priced item when you have no feedback as a seller. There are plenty of people who won't bid on items from such sellers, and plenty of others will only bid low amounts. I would have recommended selling some cheap items just to get your rating boosted a bit before selling this.

2. The picture is so big that I have to scroll horizontally back and forth to read the text. I personally hate having to do that, and I know a lot of others do as well. Use a smaller picture next time so that I don't have to do that.

Oh well.. I lost on this one and know to never buy a coin using ebay's buy it now feature again.

I've also learned to be very specific with which grade coin I buy and which coin exactly.. all for future investment value.

 

Well you're definitely learning a lot, just as fast as you seem to move at everything you do. And in the earlier post (#11) you were prepared to take a loss and Leadfoot thought you were in the right 400-500 range. (#12)

Remember that just because the auction ended, you still have to get paid, make delivery of the item, hope for positive ratings / positive feedback and allow for the time involved in the return policy if the buyer isn't happy. So the deals not yet complete. You could get the coin returned and have another chance at selling this if it gets returned.

Many will feel that ending the auction on Labor Day may have hurt, but for the right coins the collectors will bid anytime anywhere... just look at the moon money prices being bid on early copper yesterday and today at the Beverly Hills Goldberg auctions!!!
