Qualifications for being a grader at a major grading company

    Just courious as to what the qualifications are. I think I saw someone on here that was one. Maybe he can answer this.

    ......number 1 should be excellent eyesight.

    Number one is for them to have an opening. Number two is to have a resume that they like. Number three is to pass their test.

    Guilty as charged.:) Basically, one needs to be proficient enough at grading to be able to demonstrate it for whomever is doing the hiring. I never took a formal test, but had formerly worked with one of the owners of NGC before I was hired. And I had known and done business with the other person there whose decision it was. So he also already knew what type of grading eye I had.

    It would help not to be like me, too. Even if I could grade good enough to be a grader, I'd sit there all day admiring the coins that piled up on my desk, wishing I had this and that, that I'd never get any work done. Another reason I couldn't work in a coin shop also.
