IHP gold color?

Hi ,

Any idea as to why this IHP is gold colored, I have a regualr coin next to it for contrast.

The coin on the left has probably been dipped or otherwise cleaned, hence the light color. An original, undipped almost uncirculated or uncirculated example of that type can exhibit golden-red or golden-orange color, however.
