I am thinking of buying this coin of another site I am currently using. The Coin is supposed to be "Toned", but I noticed at the top-left of the obv. ,that there is some "streaking" that does not look uniform w/ the rest of the coin. What do you guys think? While the coin looks attractive, I wouldn't describe it as "monster toned" and the obverse streaks are a distraction. Additionally, it is a common date and the seller's buy it now price is roughly the equivalent of what an MS63 goes for, not an AU.
Another example of why you should buy coins in hand rather than relying on photographs. The seller states that the streaking is due to toning but you'll never know for sure till you get your hot little hands on that piece. If it were me, and I had my doubts, I'd pass....
