Hey guys, I happen to love this coin even better than the '09 Lincoln.

However, I am finding it a tad difficult to accurately price out how much this coin is worth slabbed in Mint state. Does anyone here know where I can find such information?

    I found a slabbed NGC MS64 for $175.. I don't know if that's even fair.

The best I found was the red book, but we all know how those prices can't really be trusted.

With those types of coins or tokens or commemoratives, the prices are really vague. I find those to be worth exactly what you think they are worth. If you like that one and the price is OK with you, it doesn't matter what any price lists say. And remember that all price lists are just guides and in no way represent reality.

FYI, even though most guides and even PCGS calls this the 1918 Lincoln commemorative, it's really the 1918 Illinois Centennial commemorative (NGC gets it right on their holder).

    Great coin!

The Sept issue of "Coins" lists the Illinois Centennial-Lincoln MS-64 at $250.

    MS-63 $170
    MS-65 $525

$175 seems like a fair price for that coin, if it's accurately graded. An old greysheet I have indicates that price as being the bid for MS-64.

If the photo's accurately portray the color of the coin I like it for the price you mentioned.

It is a fantastic design, I just wish modern artists would take a hint and learn from the past.
