Is the open forum a good place to get regular coins?

I have been collecting the last 50 years of proof and mint sets, but there are some coins I am missing that I would not consider key coins. For example they made no mint sets in 1982 & 83. Is the open forum a good place to put a want list in for some of these non key coins?:rolling:

Or,,,,,,,, you can always go to ebay and be prepared to drop $75 for each set. It has been a while since I have searched for these sets, but they were going for $60 or more on ebay. Years ago I was able to purchase the 83 set on ebay. I have never been able to find an 82 set that has been affordable.

Like Ken said, it doesn't hurt to post a request in the Open section, but my suggestion would be to keep an eye on ebay and look for some steals when they come up. Good luck.
