The walking liberties are way up there for me, but my very favorite US Design has to be the Draped Bust. Just a nice simple design on obverse and reverse... now if I could just find a way to afford one that's not just made of copper.... or is at least in a bit better shape As for foreign coins, I really like the swiss standing helvetica design. again, nice and simple....
I would say the St. Gaudens double Eagle for US coins. I'll never own one, too expensive. Of the coins I can, and will, and actually do have....it's the Peace dollar. I have not scanned mine yet. For non US coins, I have not decided yet. There is so much and I have just barely begun to scratch the surface.
All very beautiful coins ladies and gentlemen. However, for simple elegant beauty I present "Marianne" encil: Traci
I think there are a lot of beautiful coins out there, but one that was not mentioned that I think is well done for these days of 3/4 profiles so prevalent is the 1999 Dolly Madison commemorative silver dollar
NIce coin yes, but if you happen to search for it in Google check out at the same time the D-Day invasion memorial set including the USA Britain and France, absolute superb detailing. ps I'm not really agressive (just dont know how to change it)
This isn't a coin, but it's breathtaking... http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv10/Yakpoo/250px-US100000dollarsbillobverse.jpg http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv10/Yakpoo/250px-US100000dollarsbillreverse.jpg
