    Hello all,
The first George V coin has a hole at the top and is goldish in color. When I looked up the year on the back (1925) every coin I saw had a man riding a horse with a sword but this one has a guy sitting down holding a trident and shield like in some of the other british coins. Which leads me to believe this might not real.:(

The second George V coin is silverish in color and on the back it says 1/12 Anna India 1920 It looks more real to me than the frst however there are two rings on either side of the coin that makes me question it.

Thanks in advance for all the help now on to the pictures......

It seems to me these coins are real, but plated for use in jewelry. Both are coins of a very small denomination.
The first coin is a farthing (1/4 of a penny or 1/960 of a pound), struck in bronze. The hole and the gold-plating suggests it has been used for jewelry.
The same applies to the 1/12 anna (1/192 of a rupee): it is clear this small coin has been part of a bracelet. Probably silver-plated. Like the farthing, this coin was struck in bronze.

BTW, that "man" holding a trident is Britannia, the female mythical symbol of England.

I think it gives them character and a story. Nice find!

Thanks for the info bart and for the comments everyone. I had a feeling the India coin was real but wasn't sure about the farthing. The are pretty interesting. BTW I had know idea the person on the back with the trident was a woman. You learn something new everyday Thanks all.
