Archduke Ferdinand (1564-95) 2 Taler

This one is very hard to find with such detail and in natural form. This had been cleaned in the past yet I took it while I could. Hopefully one day I can upgrade.

Not dated. Minted between 1564-1595

 

Thanks...I kind of figured that, but I wasn't sure if it was a range of minting or just a historical fact.

This is the 2 Taler which is much more challenging to get hold of for this ruler. If you can find one certified, you have a winner.

 

I do like the Austrian Talers as much as I like the German Talers. I'll have to hold off on the Austrian Talers untill next year. I still need to get a German 8 Taler coin at the NYC show in January.

 

Owning an 8 Taler coin will be an accomplishment!

 

Believe it or not, I do have my SLK Benz for sale to help raise the money for one.
