OK, I know there are price guides, but I wanted some more experienced opinions if you will regarding American Eagle Gold 1/2 Ounce Coins. I know that the 2005 Gold 1/2 Oz. Proof sells for $360.00 from the mint. If I were at a show or stop, what would be a reasonable price to pay for...

    2005 Gold 1/2 Oz. uncirculated
    2005 Gold 1/2 Oz. uncirculated slabbed (MS69)
    2004 Gold 1/2 Oz. proof
    2004 Gold 1/2 Oz. uncirculated

    Also...
    2005 Gold 1 Oz. uncirculated
    2005 Gold 1 Oz. uncirculated slabbed (MS69)

I'm not sure if I want a proof or not. Thanks.

What about 2004 1/2 Oz. Proof? About the same as this year from the mint ($360.00) ?

    Hello SamJimmy..
Justy for your general info you can find the mintages of the AGE in all denominations on the US Mints website by going to pressroom then special programs then American Eagles Gold. Compare mintages to redbook or greysheet pricing as fewer mintage coins have a premium over general bullion.
I am collecting the entire series and found pricing to be different than spot on earlier issues such as the 1991 1/2 oz with a mintage of 24,1000

You willl find an interesting array of pricing and I have had my best luck on teletrade auctions.

    Good luck!!
