Found both of these notes on the same day, in the same strap after a lonnngg dry spell at the bank. So far this makes 3 Barrs and 3 webs that ive pulled out of circulation in the last year.
Nice find on the web press note. I have yet to find one in circulation, still looking though. Every $1 that passes through my hands gets checked. So far all I've found is a Where's George note, LOL. :rolling:
Please help out a neophite in paper collecting: I thought a web note was identified by the number on the reverse being high on the note instead of low. What makes this a web note since we can only see the front. Why is the Barr note special. Thanks.
bobbeth87, the Barr note is special because he was only in office for a short period, meaning there are not a large number of notes bearing his name. I have the same question as you, though, concerning the "web" note. What does that mean, anyone? I noticed it has one of every number except "9" and "7" - does that have anything to do with it?
