1918 D Cent Just Back From NGC

Hey Gang, I just got this back in the mail this morning with a bunch of other cents I sent it. I was pleasantly surprised by this piece. I dont know how but I managed to put a scratch on the holder already. you can see it in the rev pic.

Very pretty with even toning and no major distracing marks.

Looks like something I would like to see in a Dansco album, but looks pretty good in plastic too.

 

I don't know why you were surprised. That is a well struck coin, spot free and virtually mark free. The is a good description of MS-65. Congratulations!

 

I was more surprised that it graded what I expected it to. I'm not usually that lucky haha!!

Wow- that is a score. Where did you get the coin and how long did you have? Curious about your other cents. I am suprised NGC gave a RB as they seem ridiculous regarding their "red" criteria in general (whether RD or RB). That coin is very sharp!
