My partner was running his deposit to the bank for his work, when the teller paid him with this $5. Is it a good find? Also, I'd like to know what, if anything, I should do about the pencilmarked 10 on the front.

With a few folds I see in the center, It's worth about 6-8 dollars. A Gem Specimen could easily reached $100. I don't know about the "10" mark...

Nice find! Leave the pencil mark. It is pretty easy to tell where is was after removal as the surface of the paper will be rougher there and probably whiter. There will also most likely be an indentation left as well.

I don't get why you'd even write 10 on a bill. I guess he had a stack of two fives and needed to keep trck of how much was in the pile:goof:

Appears there was more than the 10 in pencil at one time next to the 10. As noted don't attempt to erase it or you may well mess up the rest of the bill. Nice find.
