I was working on a bunch of wheaties and I didn't realize that I had a 1911S and that it was valuable and a semi-key date !!! I almost fell off my chair, literally . :hilarious:
It went from house to house 5 times over 50 years before i sat down and really looked at what I had . The fields are very clean .What do think it would grade ? Comments welcome , Thanks .

It must be a Connecticut thing...I had a 1950 D Jefferson nickel...BU sitting in a slot of an old printers drawer (where they kept the letter stamps). Sat in the slot for 3 decades (I suspect we found it sometime between 1977 and 1981). But that wasn't my worst oversight!!

Looks like a high grade find...XF45! Nice color with a bit of a woody grain!!

Wow Sal!!! Nice find!!! From the pics I'm gonna guess at a strong XF. Reverse is a little blurred so can't see the wheat stalks clearly. May grade higher!!!

I was thinking that, but I couldn't really tell for certain by the photograph and I didn't want to rain on anyones parade.

You did the right thing then I think if you didn't know. But it's wiped. And these are the exact ones you never want to see that in because they're far and away the best made of the bunch.
