:jawdrop: What is that ? Can you describe it ? You may get more responses , then again.... depending on how bored someone is .
    .
I actually am interested . At this point I'm either seeing a pla ting issue , a scrape or a Lamination error . What do you think it is ? Maybe better Pics , that might help . PLEASE, Crop and enlarge .;)

Ok. It is from new coin rolls.

It’s not a grinder job. I thought that myself but as I’m going through the coins. I can see that’s it’s there a little bit then gradually gets worse

Do you mean you found this and others in the same roll ?

Probably caught in the roll coin filler machine.

Might it be some kind of strike through? I think if it was scraped it would be through to the zinc core.

I can't see the coin. It's not large enough and it gets fuzzy and out of focus when I enlarge it:

Looks like the strike did not fill the die. Why? I don't know, because the rest of the coin looks well struck. The cheek looks like the planchet before it gets struck. Just my 2 cents worth.

Looks scuffed to me. Most likely PMD

If you've found multiple coins in a new roll, then strike through is a very likely suspect as @l.cutler said

If you have the coins where it gradually gets worse, would you please post photos of the coins showing the progression of the anomaly. TYIA
