Howdy peeps, I'm not trying to say that any CT members could use this book, but . . . . http://www.filefactory.com/file/a8d211/n/0470222751_rar Ribbit
Not sure what that link is all about... I was hoping to find a book about coin collecting. Maybe it's just my computer....
Well, I did find "Coin Collecting for Dummies" on Amazon, along with the latest red book and blue book... all three for $39.95 total. I've been collecting coins since 1953, but most of the members on CT have forgotten more than I ever knew. The last red book I bought was circa 1956... maybe time to update.
Hey thanks toad, thanks for hosting that book. Guys this is a standard host site, File Factory is a well known host, File Front is another good one too. Gamers use these all the time Toad posts link, we follow to the file host site. There are always two options: Free download (must wait 60 seconds) or payed (has fast speeds and no waiting times). Use the free one. Using the free download link and waiting for 60 seconds, you can see the countdown. You just select the newly displayed link and widows will ask if you want to open or save. Save of course (remember where) and let it download, the download is fast. Once its done DL'ing all you have to do is unzip it using Winzip or Winraw. You now have a full PDF file of "coin collecting for dummies", Second edition. Thanks again toad
Neat trick Toad now as for the Dummies insinuation , JK , MY SISTER GAVE ME THE BOOK A FEW YEARS AGO , and I was suprised at the amount of good info it gave , thanks Toad . And thanks Ontime 1969 for explaining it . rzage
I've seen that book at coin shows and thought who would buy something like that. The dealer told me it is his biggest selling book. He doesn't care if a person buys it for real, as a joke or really needs it but it does sell. Those are the same types you see for computers and many other things. Someone told me there is one called Excel for Dummies and I'm looking for that one myself.
There are a ton of them so I'd need to know the exact title to get it but until you figure that out, try this on for size: http://www.ebookee.com.cn/Excel-Timesaving-Techniques-For-Dummies_281912.html Ribbit Ps: You can also search that site for other Dummy books, including other ones for Excel.
I can't reccommend that book. Beginners might injure a tendon flipping through the pages, maybe catch a hangnail, possible blood, infection, loss of limb, life etc.,not to mention you don't know where that paper's been, who's touched it, and...worst of all..that book COULD be a result of "harsh chemicals". Besides, any experienced enthusist wouldn't learn anything anyway. Far too risky for a novice.
I was thinking this would qualify: http://www.ebookee.com.cn/Excel-2007-Data-Analysis-For-Dummies_278862.html Ribbit
I was thinking this would qualify: http://www.ebookee.com.cn/Excel-2007...es_278862.html I hope the assorted malware associated with that site doesn't hurt your PC too much.:goof:
I have not received a single alert on that site so I don't know what malware you are referring to? Ribbit
Got it, it has some nice information in it, especially advice on the relative costs of collecting type sets, date sets or date and mm sets.
I have not received a single alert on that site so I don't know what malware you are referring to? Ribbit Well I hope you don't. I'd add that it'd also depend on what anti- malware applications/firewalls and the levels you have them set at as to whether or not you'd pick up any alerts, but then I guess we're supposed to be talking about coins. I've seen the link you posted before and if you dig a little harder, you'd find the source of that link is quite, shall we say, biased IMHO. I hope that I'm not being too short sighted.:kewl:
I find it interesting/ironic the source is in the same locale as the primary source of counterfeit coinz on Ebay. Ribbit
Very good Sir. I'll be sure and try hard to avoid that locale if I ever decide to sell coins. (public computers are so easy to spot....aren't they??):hail: Edit..whoops...seems I got my post/responses mixed up a bit.
