1710 Austria Holy Roman Emperor Joseph I (1705-1711) Taler

    I won this on the recent Bowers and Merena auction. It is an NGC MS-62 piece of this beautiful design type.

    Coin is very dark yet the detail is better than show in the picture. You can see into the eyeball of this ruler at a level that I have not seen in other coins.

    I have attached the images provided by auction house. Will try to get better scans myself.

    Cool Zohar... His eye looks like the dead eyeball you would see on an ancient Greco-Roman marble statue. Kinda creepy. Traci :eek:

    A very good piece to add to your collection.
    Smallpox ended Joseph's life at the age of 32.
