1969S Cent Die Chip or Error or Variety?

    If you are talking about that little thingy inside the lower loop. It's nothing. It is a relatively normal punch with a typical mint mark punch of the day. Other than that, the picture is too small to analyze the coin.

    I think they are die chips but I just want someone more familure with errors to give an opinion.

    That's a normal , and known, damaged mint mark punch that was used. We see that punch used from 1969 to around 1974.
