I have a $100 Federal Reserve Note, 1928, Chicago, in very fine condition. See attached photos. There is a slight crease through Franklin's right nostril. What approximately would this bill be worth?

Also, recommendations on the best way to sell this bill?

    Thank you.

Hi! I collect coins but found something that might be of use:

COIN PRICES magazine includes a currency trends section in March.
Your note is listed at $150 in FINE, $350 in EXTREMELY FINE.

Selling on e-bay might be your best bet or you might try a dealer if you just want to be rid of it with some profit.

Numeral notes of Series 1928 are sought after quite aggressively by collectors. What you have is 1 of 783,600 notes printed. Now the real question is how many survived?

I would estimate the value to between $375-450.00 in AU condition.
In my opinion the best way to sell the note is to have it graded first of all...then submit it to an Auction House like Heritage www.ha.com
Looking at your note, the SN suggests that it was near the end of the print run....

SN# Range reported in S?L 8th Edition is G00002494A as the low and G01331981 as the high.
Or you could contact a collector here by the user name of Urbanchemist, he fancies Chicago notes!

    Good luck..
