Nice Buff !! I as going to say MS-63 but the toning brought me to a MS-64 instead. Does toning affect grade ? I don't think so, do you ?

In an ideal technical situation, it shouldn’t, but I believe it subconsciously influences some people’s opinions; even those of professional third-party graders.

64, Never seen quite that much toning on a buffalo nickel, very unique :)

UNC from an eroded obverse. Looks like the bison is taking a dump.

OK, I'm the oddball, again, lol. I just don't like toning. I don't mind worn, well traveled coins, but like for them to be untoned. Just my opinion, not even worth 2 cents. Now, with that cleared up, if I was missing a coin, and got a toned one cheap, I would grab it up, to fill an empty spot. But it's not my first choice. But, yours is a nice coin @lordmarcovan!

LOL Have you ever seen a buff dump a load??? That little ball of crap would not even make a dingleberry on a real buff. Thanks for the laugh I needed it today.

MS 65. Philadelphia mint produced many weak strikes and I believe this is one of them. I see no wear but weak areas that are common with a weak strike, particularly the buffalo head details and feather details on the obverse. All in all, I think it is a very nice example.

The 19 in the date is a bit worn, the reverse is better. I gave it MS-64

That's the only detracting feature, to my eye. Otherwise the coin is phenomenal, as far as I'm concerned. I can live with that little flyspeck.

(Or teeny-tiny buffalo dropping, if you prefer to see it that way. LOL)
