I think this one possibly has doubling on "LIBERTY", and slightly on IGWT. On the rev, it has slight doubling on all devices on the rev. I will try to get a clear and usable pic of the initials beacuse they look like it is double dto the south and the vdb on the obv. is messed up to. JA
oh man I wish they would go back to the old way so we could use the zoom on the coins. it was so much easier to see the close ups!!!!
Hi, There's a bunch of stuff happening with the coin. First...It's not a doubled die. Next, there are major effects of die deterioration especially with the lettering near the rim. Also, if you look at the coin's fields, you will see the marks left behind by die abrasion, probably to remove clash marks. What you notice around the beard is the effect of the die abrasion adding a little extra ledge to the die around portions of Lincoln. Thanks, Bill
