2000 Stunning unplated lincolns-OPINIONS WANTED Just wanted your opinion on this matching set of 3 100% unplated 2000 Lincolns. I actually found them at a flea market in South Carolina. The dealer wanted $20 each at the time. I bought 2 of the 3 for $18 each and actually went back a year later and bought the remaining one for $18 too. I sent them to PCI. Got one MS-63 and two MS-64's Total cost to me was about $35 per coin after the grading. Did I do good? What do you think they are worth? I've seen other years but not one other 2000 and these are "radiant"
AT $35 each I think that you did okay. Value? No idea. Perhaps, Bill, 'Found in rolls', could tell us.
The one you have photographed is suspiciously bright and I would question its authenticity. Genuine unplated cents are not so reflective.
Perhaps so. Still, there's no way to establish authenticity. There are plenty of fake unplated cents in first-, second-, and third-tier slabs.
Why would you even use PCI? Jez, they are absolute garbage as a TGP. I would crack them and send them to Dominion (DGS), they are really good with Lincolns.
New owner, new name, new label, new location, new graders. Only thing that hasn't changed is the shape of the holder.
