Is the U.S. Mint going to make 2009-D Nickels and Dimes for circulation?

They're made, they're just not circulating.

So where are they sitting, at the Federal Reserve, in the Mint or where? dealers don't have them or they would be on Ebay.

I have received one 2009 dime in circulation, a couple of weeks ago now. I am located in Houston, Texas. Just FYI.

Oh! I dont recall whether it was D or not.... Im thinking it was though - will have to check.

I'm getting pretty bummed. I don't like to buy standard issue coins but 2009 may be the exception. I haven't seen very many 2009 coins except the 2009P cents. If they don't hit circulation, I may be forced to buy them at a coin show like the Sacs.

Yeah, the mint wants you to buy the coins from them at a premium...and then wait, and wait for their exceptionally fast service to ship it to you!!!

I ordered a 2009 mint set subscription. That's probably the only way I'll get one.

Yeah I ordered a set also Can never depend on circulation to get the coins you need even if you do roll search.

Has anyone on the east coast seen a Denver minted cent, nickel, dime, or quarter in circulation in 2009? How about the same question on the P side on the west coast. Hell, I haven't seen anything other than formative year cents (P) in New York. It is pretty crazy to go this long into 2009 without any 2009 coinage.

I can tell you that here in Iowa (West of the Mississippi barely of course) that we are supposed to get D Mint coins from the Fed to our banks. But I have come across some P minted cents, quarters, and one nickel which I have already put away from 2009 and thats it...

The only 2009-dated coins I've received in change are two District of Columbia quarters. That's it.

    My Dime

Indeed, my 2009 circulation dime is a P.... I didnt realize they put P mint marks on any coin: what's the deal?

On the other hand i have my D mint DC quarter from circulation right here on my desk =)

I have gotten probably 50-60 or so new 2009 pennies LP1 & LP2 in circulation (not including the 7 rolls from the grocery store of LP2!). I think all of the LP1s are P (no mint mark) and all of the LP2 are D mintmark... odd huh?

    Im in Houston.

Have not seen a single 2009 yet from circulation, P or D. And I roll search frequently.
