Lettow... That is an interesting note...I must say it is the first time out side of the 4th Issue 50 cent fractional I have seen Dexter's vignette on a security instrument! Pretty cool...any info on it and all the sigs? The sig on the upper right of the portrait ..who is that? RickieB
I have never researched the signatures or why there is a signature next to the portrait. Dexter appears on a good number of US Government checks from this era. This check was issued as part of the liquidating dividend for a National Bank in Maryland.
