Hey I just purchsed some new Buffalo nickels.... Thoughts and grades please as I plan to send them into NGC for grading. The dates are as follows 1919-P 1920-P 1917-D 1919-S 1918-P 1918-P with Lamination error & 1918-D. Sorry the pictures are not that great but on the east coast it's dark now and hard to get good pic's under yellow light. Thanks for your input> Paddy

I really do not see any coin that I would consider worth sending out for professional grading. The cost of that service would in some instances surpass the actual coin value. All nice coins and in really nice condition but I'd sort of first check with some price guides for realistic values prior to sending out for grading to anyone.

I sort of take that back. Maybe the 1919S would be worth having it graded professionally. They all appear to be in an AU to MS grade and a few on the better of the MS side but except for the 19S, I'd just keep as is.

Hi Kent , Thanks , yea all but one are unc... the 1920 is an AU the one 18-D is an error but still a nice strike. I am going to grade these as I know they should be around MS-63 to 64's. The only hold back may be their luster. I up loaded the pictures as I normaly do for some reason they came out smaller than normal. So you really can't see the coin as well a most posts I have up loaded a picture on. From the same seller I got a 1919-P MS-65 about a $700. coin a real nice buy. I collect just about everything but nickels are my fav's.I have a complete Jefferson collection unc. & Proof vaieties and errors! I lso hold bragging rights to #21 of the Fleix Schlag proof display pannel.
